In this stimulating role, you will, in cooperation with other legal functions, be providing legal support and advice to Valmet’s Pulp & Energy business line. Largely, your work will consist of:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating international and local contracts for sales and support in project deliveries
- Providing day-to-day support to sales and project management in legal and commercial matters
- Negotiating and managing customer frame agreements
- Supporting supply chain
- Managing claims and coordinating litigation
- Providing advice in general corporate law
You will also be a member of the global legal team and contribute to the team’s tasks, ensuring the proper and consistent application of and compliance to laws and regulations, as well as corporate and legal governance principles and guidelines from the corporate head office.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a major industrial company or law firm. You will have strong knowledge and skills in corporate and commercial law and good negotiation skills. It is also very important that you are business oriented and enjoy keeping yourself abreast of business developments. The role will require that you have superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cooperate and create strong relationships internally and externally. You will have excellent command of English, written and oral.
